I am a college-educated man, with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. I've worked most of my 17 year career in the automotive industry. I've designed all sorts of components, most recently an award-winning brake system for hybrid vehicles. Sounds kind of nerdy, huh? Well, not to worry, deep in the heart of this "Bill Nye the Science Guy" beats the heart of an artist.

I have recently discovered a new passion for photography. It's led me to some of my happiest experiences over the last year. I think I've always been an artist trapped inside the mind of a scientist. Although still-life and nature photography is wonderful, I prefer the human form as my subject for photos. The human body comes in so many varieties, the female form in particular, that I just am absolutely drawn to that type of photography.

Physically speaking, I am six feet tall, and weigh about 205 pounds. I have salt & pepper hair, and I do try to take care of myself and my appearance. I find the long winters here in MI manageable only with the use of good quality comedies and a tanning bed - so I generally have a nice smile and a good tan going on.

I've always wanted to try skydiving, just always felt a little too responsible for others to risk it. But times and situations are changing...

My goal in life has changed as I've gotten older. No longer obsessed with the career and the money, I find I am content taking photos, spending time with my children, and looking for ways to help those around me. I'd say I have more of a spiritual goal now than a "goal in life."

I am seeking a lady (or possibly ladies) who shares at least some of my interests. My interests are wide-ranging, so we should be able to find something to talk about. Which I guess is the second think I am looking for (after the lady requirement)-I would like to find someone who enjoys a good conversation. If she enjoys camping, backpacking, live theater, an evening of dinner & dancing, or just hanging out at the bookstore that would be a big plus.
